Locked my keys in the car, while it was running at 6 am on a snowy morning. Called police and an officer arrived in less than ten minutes and got the car open. He was very nice and courteous. Sorry I didn't get his name, but kudos and thanks to him. Lots of police won't do this for you. Yay RPD!
I dont know what is going on here are the police so hard up on getting their merits that they will do anything to presume you guilty or stash a crime on you Rochester or police period getting so non trusting sad scary all at the same time they dont know but often go for the innocent victims rather than fighting crime and taking bad people off the street and Pontiac police are especially sad non caring most of them and its only a couple good ones and to think that I wanted to be a cop but I cannot work with these non trusting peers
Courteous and conscientious. We appreciate our local police!
I am 6 months pregnant and got a flat tire and took a shot in the dark and walked to the police station to ask if anyone could help me. Assuming they have bigger issues to deal with. Within 5 mins they had 3 officers there to help me and had my tire changed in no time! I am so very grateful for these men! I know that is not their job and they took time out of their day to help me with car issues. You guys are the best. I'll never forget that!
If you lock your keys in your car but want to complete other things, don't call them, you will get no time range in which to expect the officer, and even if you ask for a call they will refuse to do it. How hard is it for an officer to let dispatch know they're about to take care of an issue and for dispatch to quick call someone and say "hey be by your car, they're on their way."? It's not. It takes about 1 minute of the officers time and maybe 2 of the dispatcher. Not to mention you could automate the entire thing so the officer clicks "in progress" on their PC and an automatic phone call is placed to the number on file that states an officer is on their way. Other people have jobs too, I don't think it's as impossible as I was told for you to implement a system that will allow not only your convenience but for citizens as well. LUCKILY they showed up before the end of my lunch break or I wouldn't have gotten my keys back. Otherwise the officer was friendly and quick with assisting me. I just think it makes little sense for me to stand by my car the entire time waiting when they could easily just call when they're on their way. The officers have WAY more than enough equipment in their car alone to make this possible.
